Maud Le Pladec
Maud Le Pladec Sat 05/03/14 To Sun 05/04/14
The energy of Maud Le Pladec’s dance is revolutionary. Part of a new wave in France, she tests the idea of collective action and individual determination. Ensemble TaCTus join le Pladec’s dancers in this US debut, playing Julia Wolfe’s (co-founder of the music group “Bang on a Can”) riveting score for drum quartet.

At the request of the artists, no late seating will be allowed for this performance.

Hairy Who & The Chicago Imagists
Hairy Who & The Chicago Imagists Tue 05/20/14
Join us for the premiere screening of Hairy Who & The Chicago Imagists, followed by a discussion with artists Gladys Nilsson and Art Green, director Leslie Buchbinder, writer John Corbett, and MCA curator Lynne Warren. Hairy Who & The Chicago Imagists is the first film to tell their wild, woolly, and utterly irreverent story. Over forty interviews with the artists and a prominent group of critics, curators, collectors, and contemporary artists are featured, intertwined with a wealth of re-discovered archival footage and photographs.
